My Review:
The aroma for this wine I picked up some spiced flavors and possibly cherry or cranberry. I also smelled some leather like aromas. The flavor was very bitter and it had a metallic after taste. I also picked up on some leather and clay pot flavors. It was medium in tannins and it went will with cut tomatoes and garlic. I tried it with tomatoes with garlic and pepper and it made the wine taste less bitter and the tomato kind of takes over, which makes the wine smoother going down. I tried this a second time after the wine opened up, and I could get more of the fruity aromas such as cranberry. It still tasted bitter, but a little sweeter than before. I drink this a second time with a chicken and broccoli parmesan dish and it brought out the meaty flavor of the chicken.
